You sound like you are wringing you hands in anticipation of collapse. There is not a 50 50 split here. The GOP is pushing to trigger a fight which they will utilize to justify brutal dictatorship by outright lying. People are not falling for it as you see in the no kings demonstration. Millions of people protested these tactics. I would not be betting on the GOP success.

Those for whom the mantra is guns don’t kill people, people kill people, are the ones who are truly dangerous. It is always the young who get fed into the machine. The old white guys who think that youth is soft and women are vessels have sat in their own waste, in luxurious surroundings and set this in motion.

The French rabble, starved and enraged, changed history, but as been found out so many times, the force is not subject to control. Someone made money selling guns to the Indigenous who, having offered to share their country, found it was they who were disposable. We know how that worked out. An industrial society funded on the backs of slaves… and now some are trying to “tidy” their history and “protect” their children from knowing the truth.

The guns go off and the innocent fall, rarely do the well protected behind their secure walls, who toddle off and complain about how bad things are.

I’ve thought this would end up in civil war during his first term, never mind now. With everything that has and is happening, it appears there is weakened support for him, but the koolaid crowd is still there. The sickness has waned a bit, but will it ever be gone, I don’t think so. I don’t believe he’d win today, with or without Elon. Too little too late.

This piece is a warning, and I hope things are done to prevent an actual Civil War from happening.
